Adult Learn to Skate 

This is a 4-week program for adults who have never skated before or have very limited skating experience. The following skills will be taught: balance, getting up and down, the fundamentals of a stride, stopping, and turning. Each session is 50 minutes.

 

Note: Participants require skates and a CSA approved helmet.  If you do not have a hockey helmet a bike or ski helmet is acceptable.

Adult Learn to Play Hockey

This 4-week program is intended for adults that are looking to learn basic hockey skills including skating, shooting, stick handling and passing. Participants should possess some basic skating skills and full hockey equipment is required. Sessions are 50 minutes with a maximum of 8 players and 2 instructors.

Adult Shooting & Power Skating

This 4-week program includes shooting and power skating instruction each week. The focus of the shooting portion of this program is mainly wrist shots and slap shots with a focus on technique, accuracy and quick release. The power skating focus is on edge control (inside/outside), forward/backward skating, balance and transitions. There is a maximum of 6 players with 1 instructors and each session is 50 minutes. This program is open to men and women who currently play recreational hockey and should possess basic hockey skills.
